For solo bondsmen

Run the whole book yourself.

When you're a one-person shop, there's no one else to catch the missed court date or the forfeiture deadline creeping up. The right software is the extra set of eyes — and it shouldn't nickel-and-dime you for being busy.

Short answer

Bondr is built for a solo bondsman: it runs your entire book from a browser or phone and makes sure you never miss a forfeiture deadline. One account holds defendants, bonds, indemnitors, collateral, premium, court dates, and payments; a rules-based Radar keeps your riskiest bonds on top; AI document capture and jail lookup cut the data entry; and reminders go out from your own phone with no per-text fee. It starts at one writer for $129/month ($159 for Bondr Pro), AI document capture included, no per-defendant or per-payment metering. Bailtec is a lower flat sticker if price is your only concern; national tools add features a solo may not use.

What a one-person shop needs

Less busywork, no missed deadlines.

A Radar that watches for you

Your active book, ranked by how much each bond could cost you — exposure, unpaid premium, next court date, watch status. With no staff to divide it up, the dangerous bonds stay in front of you automatically. Rules-based, not AI; every score shows its reason.

Forfeiture clocks on every bond

A countdown pinned to each forfeiture deadline, off one grace window you set to your state's number, so a pay-or-produce date never slips past when you're the only one tracking it.

AI capture and jail lookup

Drop in a booking sheet or court notice and Bondr reads it to pre-fill a file — you confirm every field. Jail lookup pulls a booking off the county roster instead of retyping it. That's the data entry you'd otherwise do alone, at night, gone.

One flat price, no usage tax

One writer is $129/month ($159 on Bondr Pro), AI included, with no per-text, per-payment, or per-defendant fees and no monthly bond cap. Premium settles into your own Stripe account. Your bill stays the same in a busy month.

Grows only if you do

Start at one writer. Add seats when you hire.

You don't pay for a team you don't have. Bondr starts at a single writer and stays there until you decide to add someone — then each additional writer is $59/month, up to five, and everyone works the same shared book. Your data is always yours: CSV import to bring your current spreadsheet in, CSV export to take everything out, any time. If you ever stop paying, the account goes read-only — your records stay viewable and exportable, never deleted or held hostage.

Everything opens in any web browser, and the iPhone and iPad app is on the App Store now, so you can pull up a defendant from the jail parking lot on your phone and finish the file at your desk. An Android app is in preparation.

Being honest

When a solo should look elsewhere.

If your volume is very low and steady, a metered tool with a rock-bottom base can cost less because you barely use the metered features, and Bailtec is a lower flat sticker if price is the only thing that matters. If you need remote e-signature, automated GPS check-ins, or national re-arrest monitoring today, Bondr doesn't have those yet — Captira, eBail, and Simply Bail do. And Bondr's automatic jail lookup is Florida-first, so a solo working outside Florida gets less automation for now. Where Bondr earns a solo's money is the forfeiture-prevention workflow, the data-entry savings, and a flat bill that doesn't punish a busy month.

Questions

Common questions.

What is the best bail bond software for a solo bondsman?

Software that runs the whole book without a team and won't let a forfeiture deadline slip. Bondr does that with a risk Radar, forfeiture clocks, AI capture, and jail lookup, starting at one writer for $129/mo ($159 Pro), AI included, no per-text or per-defendant fees.

How much does it cost for a solo agent?

One writer: $129/mo (Bondr) or $159/mo (Bondr Pro), AI document capture included, no metering and no bond caps. Add writers later at $59/mo each up to five. A 14-day trial (card required) lets you try it on real bonds first.

Can one person run an agency on Bondr without staff?

Yes — intake, indemnitors, collateral, premium into your own Stripe, court-date reminders from your own phone, one-click paperwork, and a Radar that keeps the riskiest bonds in front of you, all from a browser or phone.

When should a solo pick something else?

If your volume is very low and steady, a metered tool or Bailtec's lower flat price can cost less. If you need e-signature, GPS check-ins, or national arrest monitoring now, a national tool fits better. Bondr's auto jail lookup is Florida-first today.

Bondr is a management tool for licensed bail-bond professionals. It helps you prepare, track, and organize your bonds and records. It does not post bail and is not a lender. Statutory windows and premium rules are described for general information and can change; verify with the court, county, and state of record. This is not legal advice.
